Why this one?
Its low profile, formed-aluminum build, lower price, and the people behind the company stood out after an in-person comparison.
Any regrets?
Skipping side and roof L-track is his clearest regret. He is also unsure he would pay for the Arctic Tern window again.
What would he change?
On a new build, he would add mounting track, order factory roof insulation, and keep the interior removable from the beginning.
Where he stands now
He calls the Mesa fantastic and says he has no complaints, although the Rincon’s additional room now appeals to him.
This interview cannot establish how a current-production Mesa performs. Donald’s dust, water, insulation, and vinyl observations belong to his truck, prototype, modifications, and use.
